To start my blog off I would like to share a story that I found very inspiring.

The Power of One Candle

When you first look at a candle, what do you think of? What is the first thing that comes to your mind? Is it the fact that at any given moment you could have a little light? Is it that in about an hour your room could smell wonderful? Or, perhaps, it just looks like a jar with wax and 2 wicks. Have you ever really considered the POWER of one candle?

Before joining this candle business, I had never really considered what a candle could do for my life. I knew that if the electricity went out, I always had a few extra candles hanging around so that we could see our way around the house. I knew that if I lit one, it would eventually begin to scent the room. (with these gourmet candles, it only takes an hour to scent your house!) But, the candle seemed pretty ordinary.

Now, after 2 years with this candle company, I am just amazed at the POWER that one candle can have! It has the power to light your way, to scent your house, or to provide a whole new future.

When we first began our family business, my 2 year old daughter was excited to share a candle with her grandmother after not seeing her for almost a year. It was a way for her to connect with Grandma; they shared a smile and a candle.

Through this business we can empower and enlighten others in many ways, just by sharing ONE candle!

When a new distributor receives her first Candle of the Month package in the mail and she gets so excited that she shows it to the first person that she sees at work and that person becomes her first team member. The joy a new team member experiences making her first sale just from taking the lid off a jar. When you receive smiles from someone that stops by your booth at a show or festival to smell a candle and comment on the wonderful fragrance, they either buy one for their home or they walk away with a good feeling just from having smelled one candle. Now, that is POWER.

I've seen the power of one candle in my life. My husband was laid off from work right before our company Fling last fall. This was our primary income for our family. Did I worry? No. Not only did I know that if I focused on the positive, he would find another job, which he did after 4 months, but, I also know the power of one candle. One candle at a time, our future is being brightened, and one day, I know we won't have to worry about whether a boss believes in him or not. Just by starting with one candle, our lives have been changed forever!

When you hand someone one our gourmet candles, you are handing them a gift, you are handing them a possibility and you are handing them the potential to take their life back.

Imagine the possibilities!
